BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Following a string of voyeurism cases this month around Western Washington University, Bellingham police developed a sketch of a potential suspect for one of the most recent cases.
Police describe the suspected voyeur as a white man, 20-30-years-old, with a slender build and dark hair and most often seen wearing a hoodie.
Between July and December 2017, 15 incidents of voyeurism, including many where victims say the man was exposed and touching himself, were reported around Western and police say recent reports may have been due to the same suspect.
Police urge residents to call 911 immediately since voyeurism is a serious crime that has the potential to escalate into more dangerous acts.
To safeguard your home, close and lock all windows and doors, close curtains or blinds, turn off inside lights and turn on porch lights.
If you have information regarding the identity of the suspect in the sketch, call Detective Howell at 360-778-8682 or visit the online tip form here.
If you have been a victim of a yet unreported voyeurism report this year call 911 or the police station at 360-778-8800.
