MARBLEMOUNT, Wash. — A search and rescue team completed two missions in Whatcom and Skagit counties on Saturday.

Naval Air Station Whidbey Island reports the first mission on Saturday morning was to save a climber who had fallen about forty feet while heading down Mount Shuksan.

The team airlifted the injured climber to Harborview Medical Center.

That afternoon the team flew to Snowking Mountain near Marblemount to rescue a hiker with an injured knee.

The hiker refused medical attention after the team hoisted him on board, so they dropped him off at the Marblemount Ranger Station.
