BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Houses keep getting more expensive in Whatcom County as people spread out from Bellingham.
Owner of Muljat Group Realtors Troy Muljat says the median sales price of a Whatcom County home is up nearly 12% from last year thanks to continued high demand for houses in Bellingham.
Bellingham, Lynden and Ferndale all experienced an increase in home prices from last year.
Bellingham is up nearly 16%, Lynden 2% and Ferndale 10%.
Muljat says it’s taking less time to sell a home now and the average time on the market for a Bellingham home was only 28 days in the third quarter.
