OLYMPIA, Wash. — Time is running out to apply for grants if you are part of an agency dedicated to the outdoors.

The Washington Recreation and Conservation Office said Monday that grants are available to improve and develop boating facilities, to maintain backcountry trails, and to renovate firearm and archery ranges.

The office said the grant program is a huge source of state funding for Washington’s outdoor activities awarding over $2 billion for projects across the state since 1964.

The deadline for this round of grants is November 1 and further details and restrictions can be found at the RCO’s website here.
