BELLINGHAM, Wash. — This week is the ICU’s 24th annual Feed the Need Food Drive, and this year’s fundraising goal is $150,000.
Cascade Radio Group is partnering with the Industrial Credit Union and Haggen to reach this year’s goal, and while food donations are important and happily accepted, the local food banks can stretch money donations further.
Money and food collected will be divided among local food banks where 1-in-5 Whatcom County families regularly visit and which distribute more than 600,000 pounds of food a month.
KGMI’s Joe Teehan will be at the Sehome Haggen today from noon to 2:00 PM.
