BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Gas prices jumped again last week.

AAA shows regular unleaded in Washington is now up about 9 cents per gallon from last week to $3.53, while the average price nationally has dropped about two cents.

Prices jumped in Washington and Oregon due to the B.C. natural gas pipeline explosion last week that pushed some refineries to curtail production.

Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says tensions with Saudi Arabia over a slain journalist may cause prices to stay higher.

The lowest gas prices in Bellingham as of today were reported on GasBuddy to be $3.23 per gallon at two stations on the Guide Meridian.
