BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Three community meetings will be held this month to get input on a proposal to change many WTA routes and add new ones, including one from Lynden to Maple Falls.
Whatcom Transportation Authority is holding meetings to get comments from those who rely on bus service, with the first meeting scheduled October 23 from 2:30-4:30 PM at Western’s Viking Union.
The next two meetings are October 24 at Whatcom Middle School and October 29 Whatcom Regional Resource Center in Kendall.
The plan includes modifications to several routes that pass through WWU, eliminating the routes between the University and 32nd Street (south of Sehome Village alongside the I-5), and between the University and Lincoln Creek.
These areas would be served by new routes, or consolidated into others.
The full report of proposed changes is linked here.
