TACOMA, Wash. — The FBI is investigating after a Puyallup tribal police officer fatally shot a man outside the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma early Tuesday morning.
While investigators and Puyallup tribal police aren’t releasing many details, KOMO reports a video taken by a bystander shows a truck reverse hard into a patrol car kicking off a police chase in the casino’s parking lot.
The truck driver stops and again reverses into the patrol car, at which point several shots can be heard in the recording.
45-year-old Donald Judd of Puyallup was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tribal officer is now on paid administrative leave.
