OLYMPIA, Wash. — After 18 bomb threats against multiple state agencies, including eight in the last month, investigators have identified a potential suspect, but believe he is out of the country.
The State Patrol tells KOMO it believes the threats stem from Said Farzad having his psychiatry license suspended in 2014 after he threatened to blow up an insurance company for denying claims.
Troopers say arresting or making Farzad cease the threats is difficult since he’s outside the U.S., but he is flagged for arrest should he try to re-enter.
Police will still treat any future threats seriously, despite no bombs having been found.
