SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — A Mount Vernon woman is dead after a crash south of Sedro-Woolley Saturday night.
The State Patrol says 31-year-old Dakota L. Weaver of Bow was driving west on Francis Road in an SUV when he crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Joleyne C. Shields.
Shields was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say Weaver, who was not injured, was driving under the influence and was booked into jail on charges of vehicular homicide.
