BELLEVUE, Wash. — Gun stores in Washington are starting to get ready for some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
Voters approved the controversial Initiative 1639 on Tuesday.
It raises the legal age to buy a semi-automatic rifle to 21, requires additional background checks, training, and a 10-day waiting period.
It also requires “safe storage” of all guns.
KOMO spoke to a gun shop owner in Bellevue, who says the restrictions punish people who follow the rules and will make it more expensive for him to do business.
