New study predicts high holiday spending for Bellevue, low for Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — One Washington city made it into the top ten in the nation with the largest holiday shopping budget, and you may be surprised at which one.

Personal finance website WalletHub found Bellevue had the 6th highest budget at $2,411, by breaking down the population’s income, age, savings and other indicators.

Of the 570 cities studied, Washington had 17 on the list.

Bellingham came in at 446th place with a budget of about $502.
