OLYMPIA, Wash. — Several charities, including Spanaway-based Fallen Hero Bracelets, and the man who ran them must cease operations and provide financial reports after complaints they harassed customers and lied about proceeds benefiting veterans.

The State Attorney General’s Office filed a lawsuit against Michael Friedmann and Fallen Hero Bracelets in July, but AG Ferguson says the organization continued to “pretend” sales went toward improving veterans’ lives.

An injunction granted on Friday means Friedmann and his organizations can’t operate or engage in “abusive conduct” toward customers and must tell customers they unequivocally withdraw complaints and lawsuits they filed against them.
