The Western Viking women’s basketball team won their conference opener Tuesday night beating Simon Fraser on the road 70-62. Junior center Anna Schwecke led the Vikings with 24 points. Sophomore forward Kelsey Rogers added 16.
Western improves to 5-2 on the year. The Vikings return home to take on Montana State Billings Saturday night.
