BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Skagit County nonprofit is looking to open a third location in Bellingham to help people affected by dementia.
The Skagit Adult Day Program has been operating in Burlington for 27 years, Anacortes for 10, and is now headed to Whatcom County to fill the gap after the Northwest Adult Day Health & Wellness Center in Lynden closed last August.
SADP provides therapeutic day programming for adults with dementia as well as education, support, and respite for their caregivers.
The organization will host their annual dinner and auction fundraising event on January 19 at the Swinomish Casino.
