BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local corrections officer made his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon to face accusations that he had sex with an inmate.
Undersheriff Jeff Parks says an investigation revealed that there was probable cause for the arrest of Adam Miller, a Whatcom County Corrections Officer.
Bellingham PD arrested Miller for second degree Custodial Sexual Misconduct and intimidating a witness.
Miller has been employed by Whatcom County since February 2017.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office will also conduct an administrative internal investigation into the matter.
