SEATTLE, Wash. — The State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in finding whomever has been firing gunshots along State Route 509 between Seattle and Burien.
A gunshot on December 20 blew out the passenger side window of a family’s car and hit a 14-year-old boy in the head, leaving him blind.
This is the only injury that’s been reported, but there have been reports of other vehicles and houses being hit by gunfire in the area west of Sea-Tac Airport in recent months.
The Patrol says a person responsible for the boy’s injury may show changes in personality after learning what has happened.
If you have any information to help with the investigation, please call the Patrol at 425-401-7880 or email them at SR509shootingtip@wsp.wa.gov.
