BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local instructor at Whatcom Community College received honors from Autism Parenting Magazine.
Biology instructor Kimberly Reeves was named “Top Personal Narrative Writer for 2018” for her contributions to the magazine which involved her journey with her son Ryan.
Reeves published a book last summer called “Raising Ryan: Living with Autism” coauthored by Ryan, who is now 19 years old.
Whatcom Community College reports Reeves will be hosting a community forum on the afternoon of February 28 at Maritime Heritage Park.
Her book Raising Ryan is available locally at Village Books, and on Amazon.
