BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized following a shooting early Thursday morning.
Undersheriff Jeff Parks says they received reports of shots fired at a home in the 1100 block of Old Marine Drive at about 12:45 AM.
Deputies found a 32-year-old man dead from multiple gunshot wounds and a 21-year-old woman wounded by a single gunshot.
She was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery.
She is expected to survive.
There were other people in the home at the time of the shooting but they weren’t hurt.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and isn’t releasing anymore information at this time, including the names of the people who were shot.
