The Western Washington University men’s and women’s basketball teams suffered losses Thursday night. The men fell to Saint Martin’s in Lacey 57-53. Luke Lovelady led the Vikings with 17 points in the loss. The men fall to 11-10 on the season and 5-6 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play. They visit Seattle Pacific Saturday at 4:00.
The Western women lost to Alaska-Anchorage 74-55. Anna Schwecke had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Vikings. The women are now have a 10-9 record on the year, 5-6 in conference. They next host Alaska Fairbanks Saturday night at 7:00.
