LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A Lynnwood man got a hard reminder about leaving an unattended car running.
Craig Cook tells KOMO he started his car outside his apartment Monday morning but had forgot his phone inside.
He left the car running and when he returned someone was driving it down the street.
State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson says they usually see a spike in these types of car thefts when people leaving them running during cold weather.
He reminds everyone that it is against the law in the state of Washington to walk away from your car while it’s running on public property.
