BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man living in Eastern Washington was arrested on a warrant and booked into Whatcom County Jail on a charge of first degree child molestation.
The charge stems from accusations made in 2016 that Carlos Martinez-Esteban molested a young child a few years earlier.
Bellingham Police say Martinez-Esteban knew the victim who was younger than twelve at the time of the crimes.
The assaults came to light when the child told their school counselor.
