BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham is offering neighborhood associations grants of up to $5,000 for improvement projects.

Mayor Kelli Linville says the city is taking applications through May 15.

The grants can be used for any number of projects including graffiti removal, landscaping, community gardens and more.

Neighborhood associations are encouraged to be creative and come up with new ideas.
