Stats show strong job growth for Washington in January

OLYMPIA, Wash. — In its monthly report the Employment Security Department says strong payroll hiring for Washington State continues.

With 12,300 jobs added in January, Paul Turek with the ESD calls the growth impressive.

The monthly unemployment rate of 4.5% for January was unchanged from the seasonally-adjusted December 2018 rate.
