SEATTLE, Wash. — Downtown Seattle was colorful and crowded this weekend as roughly 100,000 pop culture fans gathered for Emerald City Comic Con.

The three day event featured cosplay competitions, exhibitors covering movies and television, celebrity panels and the Annual ECCC Art Auction which raised more than $22,000 to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The Western Championships of Cosplay were held during the event where people create costumes to dress up as their favorite characters and the judges look at everything from needlework to special FX to crown a winner.

This year’s champion, Artemis Wild Cosplay, gets to compete in the 2020 International Crown Championships of Cosplay.

Seattle Refined posted several galleries of photos showcasing the best in fan-made costumes over the weekend.
