BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A GoFundMe page set up to cover the costs of a funeral for 17-year-old Butch Mullins who died in a hit-and-run on Tuesday has already exceeded its goal.
Within eleven hours of being set up the community raised over $12,000, surpassing the $9,950 goal.
An outpouring of support, kind sentiments and happy memories cover the comments section with many calling him a “gentle giant” and expressing admiration for his decorum in sports, regardless of whether he won or lost.
Meanwhile, State Patrol is asking anyone with information on the collision that killed him to contact them.
