BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The race for Bellingham mayor now has four people in the running, as former Whatcom County and Bellingham City Council member Seth Fleetwood puts his name forward.
The 56-year-old, born and raised in Bellingham, is running on a similar platform as his opponents, saying he wants to find effective solutions to homelessness, affordable housing, clean energy and a friendly business environment.
Fleetwood, a longtime figure in local politics, joins Bellingham City Council members Pinky Vargas and April Barker, as well as local businessman Garrett O’Brien, the owner of Volonta Corporation.
