YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A 15-year-old Yakima girl who was shot in March has died.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports Lillyonna Rose Beaty died Thursday night at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Lillyonna and her aunt, 31-year-old Danielle Rose, were found shot in a car March 17, but police believe they were shot somewhere else and that Rose had driven to where they were found.
Rose was released from the hospital.
Seventeen-year-old Benicio Xavier Lopez was charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault in connection with the case and prosecutors will now file murder charges following Beaty’s death.
