BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Boulevard Park is getting some major work done.
The waterfront park is showing clear signs of aging, but the City of Bellingham says it’s getting new water, sewer, power and telecommunication services this summer.
Crews will also be removing the damaged wood overpass at the north end of the park.
Contractors will set up on site later this month, likely impacting access to Boulevard Park along Bayview Drive.
When work is in full swing, the City says the main entrance will be closed intermittently, but access is still possible via the South Bay Trail or Taylor Dock.
They expect to finish by September.
