BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Western Washington is in for a stormy weekend, but only minor impacts are expected.
The National Weather Service forecasts a series of storms to hit throughout the weekend, beginning late Friday afternoon, when thunderstorms are possible near the coast.
The agency says the storms will cause rain at times with the strongest winds Saturday night into early Sunday.
Drivers should prepare for wet and slippery roads.
