BURLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — Police in Burlington are looking for the driver of a pickup that dragged an officer attempting to make an arrest.
KIRO reports the officer was dragged about thirty feet Saturday afternoon after he contacted a 29-year-old woman with warrants for her arrest.
She drove away as the officer tried to arrest her, dragging him behind the pickup.
The woman then ran a red light and hit a car with two people inside.
Pursuing officers stopped to give aid to the people in the car and the pickup sped off.
A 78-year-old woman and the 31-year-old officer were transported to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment.
