BURLINGTON, Wash. — Teams of Skagit County high schoolers are on track to take part in a statewide target shooting competition.

Students from both Sedro-Woolley and Burlington-Edison schools established clay target shooting teams to participate in the Washington State High School Clay Target League’s 2019 spring season.

There are six schools in Washington participating in the spring season this year, which started in March.

At the end of the season, all student athletes will participate in a virtual state tournament, with students shooting at their home ranges and uploading scores online.

Washington’s High School Clay Target League is part of the USA Clay Target League — a nonprofit committed to safety, fun and marksmanship.
