BELLINGHAM, Wash. — New mental health data shows a concerning trend for Whatcom County youth.

The data released by the Whatcom County Health Department on Wednesday show a high and increased number of Whatcom County students reporting feelings of anxiety and depression and seriously considering suicide.

It shows that female students and students who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual reporting higher rates of experiencing bullying and feeling sad, hopeless or anxious.
