BELLINGHAM, Wash. — If you’ve been thinking of running for public office this is the week to make it official.
Candidate Filing Week began yesterday and runs through Friday afternoon.
Prospective candidates can officially file with the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office online at this link until 4:00 PM on Friday. or in person until 4:30 PM.
The Candidate Filing Guide on the auditor’s website has complete information about the election process.
Over 100 offices are up for election, including a seat in the State Senate currently held by Sen. Liz Lovelett (D), Whatcom County Executive, Bellingham Mayor, Ferndale Mayor, and various spots in the Whatcom County Council and the Bellingham City Council.
