CONCRETE, Wash. — Concrete is repurposing their old police station to pave the way for up-and-coming business startups.

Mayor Jason Miller told the Skagit Valley Herald that their new startup program fits with the town’s economic development plan and goal to reuse old buildings.

Thrive Direct Health Care is the first tenant in the building.

They will pay the town $1 a month to rent part of the space for the next year, before their rent jumps to $650 a month.

Miller says the town would like to open the building up to more businesses in the future.
