SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — A 6-month-old child treated at Seattle Children’s Hospital has been confirmed with the eighth recent case of measles in the Puget Sound area.
The Seattle Times reports it’s the fifth measles case in King County this month.
Public Health-Seattle & King County says the baby contracted the disease from someone in her household and the only place others could have been exposed was in the Seattle Children’s emergency room from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The hospital has notified people who might have been exposed.
