BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Squalicum Creek Park near Bellingham Technical College is getting a new baseball field thanks to a state grant.
Bellingham Parks and Recreation announced Washington’s two-year capital budget includes $350,000 for the next phase of Squalicum Creek Park under the Youth Athletic Facilities state grant program.
Greenway levy funds will be used for the City of Bellingham’s required match to the state grant to construct a third regulation-sized ball field at the park and make associated improvements.
The City expects the multi-year project to be complete in 2021.
