BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham man is behind bars after deputies say he robbed his brother at knife-point in Sudden Valley.
According to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a fight between two men, one of them armed with a knife, just before 2 PM on June 1st.
The victim told responding deputies that his brother, 28-year-old Ronald Russell, entered his home in violation of a no-contact order and forced his way inside.
He said the suspect raised his pocket knife and demanded money, stabbing the mattress the victim was on twice.
Russell was located walking down the street and deputies booked him in to the Whatcom County Jail while they investigate.
