BAY VIEW, Wash. (AP) — A Bay View man charged with animal cruelty after dozens of dead cattle were found on his property is now facing two more charges.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports 89-year-old Roger Edward Pederson was charged with animal cruelty and transporting or confining an animal in an unsafe manner in July.
Pederson pleaded not guilty.
This Wednesday he was charged with a felony and a misdemeanor animal cruelty charge.
In January 2018, more than 170 cattle were removed from his property, and many died from illness or had to be euthanized.
