BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Expect big delays on I-5 in Bellingham this weekend, as the project to smooth the freeway continues.
Maintenance crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation will be closing the right lane of northbound I-5 just south of Sunset Drive to replace worn out concrete panels on the roadway.
WSDOT says these repairs will create a smoother driving surface.
They’ll close the lane from 4:30 PM Saturday until 11 AM on Sunday.
