BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Solar panels are going up on an apartment complex in Bellingham thanks to a grant from Puget Sound Energy.
PSE awarded Bellingham’s Opportunity Council a grant to install the panels at its rental property called the G Street Apartments.
Executive Director at the Opportunity Council Greg Winter says this project will help families experience greater housing stability through reduced energy costs in a way that is climate friendly.
The Washington State University Energy Program helped fund half of this project, which includes solar grants in Cle Elum and King County.
The rest is from Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power program.
