BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A voluntary recall is affecting eye drops sold at Walgreens and Walmart.

Altaire Pharmaceuticals says it has concerns over the sterility of the product, so it’s recalling the eye drops out of an abundance of caution.

The company says it hasn’t received any complaints or reports of issues but that people could suffer serious and even life-threatening infections if the product isn’t sterile.

Affected products from Walmart are listed here, which consist mostly of Equate brand products shipped in the last few years.
