LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Speeding is believed to have played a role in two crashes on Friday.
An Oak Harbor motorcyclist was taken to Harborview Medical Center after what troopers say was a DUI crash.
The State Patrol says Matthew J. Cramer was speeding into a turn in Oak Harbor when he lost control and came to rest in the roadway late Friday night.
Meanwhile, a Tacoma driver is facing negligent driving charges after troopers say he crashed a cement mixer truck on I-5 in Lynnwood early Friday morning.
Elton J. Linthicum is accused of speeding when he rounded the curb on the I-5 on-ramp, lost control and rolled the truck onto the driver’s side.
Linthicum was treated for injuries.
🚨collision🚨 this cement truck rolled over on ramp from NB I-405 to NB I-5. The left 2 lanes are blocked. No other vehicles involved and thankfully the driver didn’t sustain any serious injuries. Speed is a factor and we have a tow truck in its way. #slowdown #packyourpatience pic.twitter.com/YOHKwMXuEU
