BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Technology is making voting in Whatcom County’s primary election accessible to all.
Accessible voting units use visual and audio technology to allow voters with impaired vision to vote independently.
According to the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, the AVUs will be available for registered voters to cast their Primary Election ballot starting Wednesday.
Until election day on August 6th, they’ll be open between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM at the courthouse.
On Election Day, they’ll stay open until 8 PM.
