BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A fire in downtown Bellingham Wednesday night burned another iconic Railroad Avenue store, right next door to the ruins of Hohl’s Feed and Seed.

The Bellingham Fire Department tweeted that the fire started at Clark’s Feed and Seed just before 7:30 and quickly became a three-alarm fire.

Witnesses say the fire also damaged Avalon Records next door.

Neither the extent of the damage nor the cause of the fire is known at this point.

Hohl’s Feed and Seed burned down in February after a homeless man started a fire in the back of the building to keep warm.

The building, which was more than a hundred years old, was completely gutted.
