OLYMPIA, Wash. — A Thurston County man who is a suspect in a decade-old murder will likely walk free.
Prosecutors had been holding Eric Roberts after he confessed in a 911 call on July 9 to killing neighbor Nancy Moyer while they had sex in 2009.
But he later recanted the confession and had since been held on a federal firearms charge.
That charge has been dropped after prosecutors say a gun he had was not illegal.
KOMO reports investigators are still looking into Roberts’ possible involvement in Moyer’s disappearance.
