MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Mount Vernon man was convicted Thursday on multiple charges related to a drug deal gone wrong.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports 51-year-old Keith Rawlins was convicted for 10 of the 11 charges in the March 2018 Burlington shooting.

Police say Rawlins was selling two teen boys marijuana at the Cascade Mall when they got into an altercation and the boys quickly drove away.

Rawlins chased after them in his own vehicle and the boys rolled their vehicle trying to get away.

Police later arrested Rawlins and his girlfriend who was also involved in the altercation in Bellingham.

She was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for first degree attempted assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance.
