SEATTLE, Wash. — The Red Cross is offering rewards to those who donate blood within the next month.
Thanks to a million-dollar donation from Amazon, the American Red Cross is thanking blood donors who donate at certain events over the next month with a $5 Amazon gift card.
The organization says they’re facing an emergency blood shortage and all eligible donors are urged to give now.
They are in need of most blood types, especially type O.
Just ask your Alexa to “find a blood drive” or visit RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment.
Upcoming chances to participate will be Wednesday, July 31 at Bremerton’s Washington State Patrol headquarters, and Monday, August 5 at the American Red Cross Seattle Chapter.
You can also donate at Bloodworks Northwest in Bellingham, though they are not affiliated with this giveaway.
