LYNDEN, Wash. (AP) — All seven of Washington’s Democratic U.S. House members are now calling for an impeachment inquiry of President Trump.

The Seattle Times reports on Sunday Representatives Kim Schrier, Suzan DelBene, Derek Kilmer, and Denny Heck cited corruption, obstruction of justice and failure to protect elections from foreign interference as justifications for an impeachment inquiry, which would be a first step in a lengthy process.

Democratic Senator Patty Murray also voiced support for an inquiry and earlier this month, Representative Rick Larsen changed his mind on the issue in favor of impeachment.

DelBene, who represents Blaine, Lynden, and Ferndale said in a press release, “I read the report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Russian interference in our 2016 election, and I watched his testimony in front of Congress. The notion that a sitting President would attempt to derail an investigation of a direct attack on our democracy is shocking, unpatriotic, and a violation of the oath we share.”
