MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Mount Vernon Police are investigating a brawl between several people in an apartment complex parking lot.
In a press release, Lieutenant Greg Booth said police responded to the 400 block of North Laventure Road in Mount Vernon late Monday night.
Callers reported seeing a large fight with both juveniles and adults, and hearing a gunshot.
Neighboring law enforcement agencies including the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office arrived to help Mount Vernon Police diffuse what they called a “chaotic” physical fight.
Booth says the fight apparently involved two neighboring families in the complex and it’s unclear what led to it.
Several were injured, including a woman with a head laceration.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
